a sketch for a commission table top. the line in the middle represents where the table actually opens up. i will either burn or carve the line art into the table. i have a strong desire to carve, since the map show. now i think of all my drawings as maps. this image is for finding home, where they meet, again and again.the oval in the center is a portal. i guess this is another portion of "somewhere."
Wow! I love this. I especially love that it's for a tabletop. What a great idea. It's neat that you want to carve. I wonder if we have anything that needs carving... ;-)
yes i am sure you do, i will be over with my chisels!!!!
its great Alice. I'm sure it will come out even more dynamic than the sketch. just remember the golden rule of carving - carve away from you. and away from your other hand. i wouldn't mind a drive to cayuga med and watching the stitch up (as i did with david van) but i think you might. unless youre using a dremmel. in that case just watch out for Monkey on that shelf.
alice, you're off the wall. as in, your talent's spectacular on canvas and in 3-D. this design is beautiful and sweet. looks like it's made for lovers.
